China Foods Limited (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or “China Foods”, together with COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages Limited (hereinafter referred to as “COFCO Coca-Cola”), a 65%-owned subsidiary, and its subsidiaries, collectively as the “Group”) follows the social responsibility philosophy of “loyalty to national policies and making people’s lives better”.     This report is the Company’s “Environmental, Social and Governance Report” (hereinafter referred to as the “Report”). Its contents were prepared in accordance with the Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting Guide (the “ESG Guide”) in Appendix 27 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “Listing Rules”) and are in compliance with all relevant regulations. The scope of this Report covers the major production and operational activities of the Company in China, and the reporting period is in line with the 2022 financial year. The Report’s purpose is to summarise the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of China Foods in 2022, and respond to the concerns of various stakeholders.

 

    The Company understands that the standard of its ESG management and performance is an important factor in achieving its strategic sustainable development objectives.
